The funeral of the late Mrs Harriet Millar Lane, widow of the late Mr A C Lane, the Post Office, Bradley Green, took place at Bradley Parish Church last week.
Mrs Lane, who was 87 years of age, came to live at Bradley Green 16 years ago. She was a native of Carmarthen.
Her father Mr William Connell was a Crimean veteran and was wounded in the charge of the Light Brigade.
He was tended in hospital by Mrs Florence Nightingale.
