A new swimming service aimed at encouraging more adults and children in the district to take up the sport was launched over the weekend.
The Aquatics Swim School, run by Bradford Council, was unveiled on Saturday at Shipley Swimming Pool. Visitors were able to try out free swimming and diving lesson taster sessions and find out about other services offered by the scheme.
They were also able to meet swimming instructors and try their hand at being a lifeguard. The scheme, which has replaced the former Swimming Development service, will see lessons offered at all the district’s swimming pools.
