Five men bailed pending enquiries into Keighley blaze

Police are investigating a suspected arson attack at a house in Keighley last night.

Firefighters said a “severe” fire took hold of a car parked in a drive. It spread to the side of the house in Moss Carr Avenue, at around 11.30pm on Friday night.

A family of four managed to escape and were waiting outside when firefighters arrived.

The garage was damaged and a window was cracked.

A police spokesman said: “Any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 11pm and 11.30pm on Friday is asked to contact Keighley CID on 0845 6060606.”

* Five men aged 28, 26, 21, 29 and 30, all from Keighley, have been arrested on suspicion of arson.

All five were released on police bail pending further inquiries.
