Pool Bank New Road remains closed

Two people were trapped in an overturned vehicle in Pool Bank, near Otley, for more than 30 minutes today as firefighters worked to free them.

A Honda Jazz was left on its roof following a collision involving a Rover 25 at around 11.35am.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the accident and Pool Bank New Road remains shut as police clear the debris.

The road is closed at the traffic lights at the junction with Leeds Road, by the Dyneley Arms pub.

Two people from each car were taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.

A police spokesman said it was too early to confirm the extent of their injuries.
