Arrests were made and drugs were seized during a police day of action in Wyke, Bradford.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and money laundering when a warrant was executed by Tong and Wyke Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) at a flat in Wedgemoor Close today.
A “substantial” quantity of suspected cannabis was seized during a search of the property.
Residents took part in a police briefing in the car park of the Co-operative supermarket to hear about the crime trends.
The police were joined by representatives from Bradford Council, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and the Hackney and Private Carriage Licensing department on the day of action.
Officers met children at High Fearnley and Shirley Manor primary schools to talk about bullying and road safety.
Inspector Osman Khan said: “Our street briefings are proving to be a great success.
“Residents are welcoming the chance to hear about crime in their area and are often pleasantly surprised that it’s actually a lot lower than they think.”
