A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, believed to be life-threatening, after he was involved in a collision with an oncoming car in Brighouse.
Alex MacFarlane, watch manager at Brighouse fire station, said a ‘Silent Witness’ camera on a fire engine which was in the area of Garden Road at 7.45pm yesterday when the accident happened caught footage of the collision.
He said the Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle collided with a Vauxhall Astra, throwing the rider to the ground.
He said: “We removed his helmet and administered CPR using a defibrillator until an ambulance arrived. There was quite a crowd of people and members of his family were there. It was very emotional.” A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said that he could only confirm that a collision had occurred in Garden Road.
