A man decorating his step-father’s flat was found dead from a heroin overdose, a Bradford inquest heard today.
Darren Hastings, a known heroin user, was discovered face down in the bathroom of the property at Long Lee, Keighley, by his step-father on January 25 this year.
The 43-year-old, who was an asthma sufferer, had been visiting from his home in Ambleside to help paint.
The inquest heard Mr Hastings had probably been injecting himself on the toilet when he had fallen onto the floor.
Bradford Coroner Roger Whittaker said he was satisfied it had been an accidental overdose.
