Two men have appeared in court accused of robbing 61-year-old David Wells in Trinity Road, near Bradford city centre.
Gareth Law, 21, of Otley Road, Bradford, and Samuel Cairns Spencer, 23, of Kelsall House, Barkerend, Bradford, have been charged with robbery and causing grievous bodily harm.
They were committed to Bradford Crown Court by city magistrates today. Both were remanded in custody until the next hearing.
Mr Wells suffered deep cuts to his forehead and lip, a swollen black eye and swelling to his hand when he was robbed at 11.30pm on Tuesday on his way home.
