A serious road accident involving two cars closed the A65 Leeds Road in Ilkley yesterday.
The accident happened at about 11.30am when a blue Toyota Rav 4 travelling in the direction of Manor Park was involved in a collision with a silver Nissan Micra.
The Micra came to rest in the hedge of one of the houses in Leeds Road, opposite Ashlands Primary School. The driver was taken away in an ambulance. Police have not yet released any further details.
Traffic was diverted away from the area while an ambulance crew dealt with the injured driver.
