The three best friends of a man who died in a motorcycle accident have raised more than £6,000 in his memory.
Dave Main, Julia Llellewyn and Edward Taplin ran the Leeds Half Marathon as a tribute to Russell Seeger, who died in December 2006.
The three completed the 13.1- mile course in two hours and 37 minutes to raise cash for the Accident and Emergency Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Mr Seeger died when he lost control of his Honda motorcycle in Baildon while travelling home from work at the Lister Park BMW garage in Sticker Lane, Bradford.
Previously, more than £7,000 was raised through donations made by the 300 people who attended his funeral, from the insurance money on his motorcycle and through Gift Aid.
His parents Jackie and Andrew Seeger presented accident and emergency staff at Bradford Royal Infirmary with a state-of-the-art portable patient monitor earlier this year.
The money raised by the runners will also be spent on more vital equipment for the accident and emergency unit.
