The jury trying three men, two of whom are from Bradford, and a teenager for possessing terrorism-related documents is due to consider its verdicts tomorrow.
The two-month case at London’s Blackfriars Crown Court has heard the material was found following the Manchester Airport arrest of former fast-food worker Aabid Khan on his return from Pakistan.
The Crown claims computer hard drives and DVDs found in his luggage contained an “encyclopaedia” of articles promoting terrorism and the violent deaths of non-Muslims.
Simon Denison, prosecuting, insisted they showed he was a “committed and active promoter of Islamic extremism”.
Three others, including Hammaad Munshi, a 16-year-old schoolboy at the time, were detained in the days and weeks that followed and similar material was allegedly found at their homes.
Khan, 23, of Otley Road, Undercliffe, Sultan Muhammad, also 23, of Hanover Square, Manningham; Munshi, now 18, of Saville Town, Dewsbury, and Ahmed Sulieman, 30, of south east London, variously deny 13 counts.
Eleven allege possessing articles for a purpose connected with terrorism and two of making a record of information likely to be useful in terrorism between November 23 2005 and June 20 the following year.
