A petition calling for a ban on grouse shooting on Ilkley Moor has been referred to Bradford Council’s decision-making executive.
Ilkley-based animal welfare group West Yorkshire Animals in Need has presented a petition to the Council and councillors voted to refer it to its Executive.
The Council, which owns and manages the moor, has awarded Bingley Moor Partnership a ten-year contract to hold commercial shoots but protesters still hope to halt them.
