Parish councillors are making an effort to reach out to the community by holding a surgery at the local primary school.
Addingham Parish Council chairman Alison Widdup said: “Addingham Parish Council recognises that it may be difficult for members of the community with young families to make contact with their councillors when they need their help.
“With this in mind, Addingham Parish Council has arranged to hold a surgery at Addingham Primary School.”
At their last meeting it was reported that not one resident had visited the May parish council surgery held at the Old School Room above the library in Main Street.
Head teacher Jane Drake said: “Addingham Primary School is an important focal point for families in the village.
“As a school, we are delighted that the parish council recognises this, and is working in partnership with us to engage with local families.”
The first surgery to be held at Addingham Primary School will be hosted by Coun Graham Lingard on Tuesday, June 24, from 8.30am to 9.30am.
