Bulls squad to face Cas

2:24pm Friday 16th May 2008

Shontayne Hape (knee), pictured, and Wayne Godwin (groin) are out of the Bulls' game against Castleford on Sunday.

But Ben Jeffries returns after missing the last two games with a hamstring problem and James Evans is also fit following the dead leg he received in Cardiff.

Boss Steve McNamara won't risk Joe Vagana, who isn't expected to get a definite green light following his broken arm until Wednesday.

Craig Kopczak, who was cup-tied last week, is added to the 19-man squad.

Kiwi centre Hape and ex-Cas hooker Godwin's injuries aren't thought to be serious and it is hoped they will be fit for the visit of champions Leeds Rhinos next Friday night.

Castleford's Matt Cook and Ryan Clayton have been ruled out but coach Terry Matterson has still been able to name a strong-looking 19-man squad, with Ned Catic in line to make his home debut.

Cook's loan deal from Bulls precludes him from playing against his employers whilst Clayton suffered a calf injury in Cardiff which sidelines this weekend.

Mark Leafa remains a long-term absentee with his arm injury and Peter Lupton misses out again after suffering a facial injury against Catalans a fortnight ago.

Four players who missed out in Cardiff - Cas didn't play last week as they are out of the Carnegie Challenge Cup - Michael Wainwright, Ryan Boyle, Brendon Hlad and Adam Fletcher, are all in contention.

BULLS: Burgess, Deacon, Evans, Finnigan, Halley, Harris, James, Jeffries, Kopczak, Langley, Lynch, Morrison, Nero, Newton, Platt, Solomona, Sykes, Tadulala, Tupou.

TIGERS: Dorn, Donlan, Shenton, Dixon, Wainwright, Sherwin, Henderson, Korkidas, Guttenbeil, Westerman, Higgins, Huby, Boyle, Moore, Owen, McGoldrick, Hlad, Catic, Fletcher.
