Tragic bride-to-be buried in dress

3:34pm Wednesday 14th May 2008

A bride-to-be who lost her fight against cancer was buried in the dress she was due to wear for her wedding.

Michelle Fuller, 33, tragically lost her battle against mouth cancer on May 4 and her funeral took place at the church where she had planned to exchange vows with her fiance, Mall Brown, 31, on June 7.

Poignantly, she was also buried wearing the wedding ring she was due to receive from Mall.

The service at St John's Church, Clayton, was followed by a cremation today.

Money was donated in lieu of flowers and proceeds will be given to Ward 19 at Bradford Royal Infirmary, where Michelle was treated.

More than £1,700 was raised by friends and family members at a fundraising event held in Michelle's memory last week. The money will be split between the hospital ward and providing a holiday for her seven-year-old daughter, Morgan.

She leaves her parents, Eileen and Peter, and brother and sister, Toni and Anita.
