Home sweet home for Silsden pair

Home members Bob Thomas (11 handicap) and John Whitaker (14) won the latest Bradford Winter Alliance event at Silsden, scoring 46 stableford points.
They finished four points clear of Skipton's Graham Whipp (13) and Scott Clarkson (3), who claimed the runners-up spot on a countback with Woodhall Hills' Tony Lester (16) and Ed Howson (14).
Andy Rhodes, of Keighley, and James Kelly, of West Bradford, shared the professional prize with 34 points.
