Silsden fanzine up for award

Bradford City fanzines are not the only local ones to be nominated for national awards.
The Cobbydalers' publication "We're Not Playing On That Pitch" has been shortlisted for a prize in the non-league category of the National Fanzine Awards.
Edited by Rob Grillo, it is up against four other contenders - Burton Albion's Clough The Magic Dragon, Scarborough's Abandon Chip and fanzines from FC United of Manchester and Stevenage Borough supporters.
Silsden fan Grillo, a school teacher who lives in Keighley, has also published a book about his time supporting the Cobbydalers.
Entitled "Anoraknophobia", it is an affectionate and revealing account of the life of a sporting anorak'. It has sold well and is being talked about throughout non-league circles.
It led to Cobbydalers' club secretary Jim Rosser being contacted recently by BBC London's non-league radio broadcast.
Rosser was so eloquent and passionate about Silsden that he ended up being named "Fan of the Week" on the station's website and the national Non-League Today newspaper.
In the Football League categories, the Bantams' City Gent is one of ten nominated for the League Two award and there could be a double celebration because Mike Harr-ison is also in the running for best editor.
Independent Bantams website The Boy From Brazil is also up for the League Two prize.
