The much-feared cry "Ex-ter-min-ate! Ex-ter-min-ate!" delighted Dr Who fans who flocked to a shopping centre to see one of his most feared enemies, as a Dalek landed in Bradford.
Families rushed to have their pictures taken with the Timelord's age-old adversary at the Oastler Shopping centre on Saturday.
But Adam Garrett, 19, a member of the Q20 Theatre group, based in Wellington Crescent, Shipley, was keeping an eye on the metal monster. Adam, from Hebden Bridge, said: "We are here to give everyone a tribute to the Daleks. They are just so very popular with the adults and the kids because Dr Who has been going for so long."
The Dalek was one of a number of fictional characters who have visited the centre. Harry Potter, The Mad Hatter and Humpty Dumpty, have also been spotted.
The Dalek was a hit with Arun Brunkard, six, visiting Bradford with his twin brothers Ryan and Sam, both four, dad Phil and mum Asha.
Asha, from Halifax, said: "We came here to see them because they are absolutely passionate about the Daleks. He loves them."
