Hospice pleads for 5p help

12:37am Friday 28th March 2008

Unwanted 5ps are needed to help raise money for a cancer charity.

Marie Curie Cancer Care, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is launching its new campaign, called Small Change - Big Difference, and is urging the people of Bradford to donate 5p coins. The aim of the campaign is for people to save their 5ps and donate them to the charity.

A Marie Curie spokesman said: "We feel that it is an initiative which everyone can get involved with - offices, pubs, clubs and schools."

The hospice in Maudsley Street, Bradford, provides end-of-life care to people across the district who wish to remain in their own homes instead of dying in a hospital or hospice. The service is free and relies on the community for their support.
