Bradford was hit worse than many areas by the overnight snow and the only two Saturday games in which the local semi-professional clubs were scheduled to be at home suffered postponements.
Both were in the Northern Counties East Premier Division, with neighbours Thackley and Liversedge missing out.
Thackley, looking for points to climb away from the danger zone, should have hosted Shirebrook Town. The Mansfield outfit are just one place and a single point higher but have played a game more and Thackley were miffed that the opportunity to leapfrog their rivals was taken away from them by the weather.
Liversedge were due to host fellow high-fliers Winterton Rangers in a top-three clash and they too were devastated that their week-long planning schedule had gone to waste.
Sedge are on the back of some disappointing results, having been held to three consecutive draws, and were looking forward to the opportunity of putting down a marker by getting back to winning ways against the league's runaway leaders.
