Jamie Langley column
We're going through a tough time with injuries at the moment.
I go down to the gym for rehab on a morning and there's more players in there or getting treatment than out on the training field!
It's all part and parcel of the game though and we're not the only club struggling. We'd sooner have injuries now than at the back end of the season and hopefully we've got the bad luck out of the way already.
I had a positive result with my knee surgery. I had a little clean out and the surgeon did mention I could actually need a reconstruction, which was a bit worrying. But luckily enough the areas that are damaged weren't sufficiently damaged to require anything that drastic and instead of being out nine or ten months it could just be a few weeks. Thank God for that!
I get a check with the hip specialist tomorrow. Hopefully there'll be good news about that too and soon we'll be good to go.
The boys had a great win against Warrington, who had been a form side. We managed to put a lot of things right we'd been doing wrong and there was a big improvement. Let's hope that continues against Leeds tomorrow night and in the weeks to come.
Going on the recent health theme, Platty's back in the headlines because he's now given up coffee.
A lot of the lads have little coffee clubs going in their local areas, just for a bit of banter and socialising, but he's packed in, going on the news it can stain your teeth.
Meanwhile, due to his increasing fame and profile, Sam Burgess is now undergoing some teeth-whitening procedures. All I'll say is he'll need plenty of bleach, given the size of those choppers!
Jimmy Evans hasn't actually got many teeth left. He lost a spare not long back and had to replace it with a shiny white one, so now he's nearly got a full set of snooker balls with the brown, pink and yellow to match!
