Bingley vets, Neil Robson (M60) and Mike Smith (M65), are currently competing at the World Masters' Indoor Championships at Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne. Robson competes in the 3000m and Smith in the 800m and 1500m during the 6-day event from March 17 to 22.
Robson has a 19min 31sec to his name in a warm-up race on February 9 at the twisty course at Hyde Park in Leeds.
Smith has been ranked first in Britain at 800m for several years, and was silver medallist at the 2006 European masters championships in Poznan (Poland) and double gold medallist indoors at San Sebastian in 2003 over the 1500m and 3000m. He is hoping to improve on reaching the semis at last year's world outdoors championships in Riccione, Italy.
