ARMED police surrounded a Bradford house yesterday evening after reports of "suspicious activity", officers have said this morning.
A cordon remains in place in the King's Road area today, after heavily armed police descended on a house on Prince’s Crescent shortly after 5pm yesterday.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said that reports of "suspicious activity" was the reason for armed officers being deployed, although it did not expand on this, before adding that "nothing was found" at the address in question.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 17:18 on Thursday 15 October to reports of suspicious activity at an address on King's Road, Bradford.
"Armed police were quickly deployed to the area and searched the house and surrounding area.
"Nothing was found at the address.
"A scene is currently still in place in the area whilst enquiries continue today.
"Anyone with witnessed anything in the area or has any further information is asked to contact Bradford CID via 101, quoting crime reference number 13200508228.
"Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
