THE LORD Mayor of Bradford made a special presentation to one of the UK’s leading classic car racers in City Park.

Andy ‘Ace’ Harrison, based in Shipley, has been invited to race his historic Mini Cooper at the prestigious Goodwood Revival this September.

He will race alongside professional driver and former F1 assistant team manager, Tony Jardine over two days.

The Lord Mayor, accompanied by Brad Bear, met with Andy to wish him well and present him with a special Brad Bear teddy mascot who will race with the pair on the day.

The Lord Mayor, Coun Zafar Ali, said: “We’re proud that Andy, a Bradford local, has been invited along to this prominent event. His Mini Cooper looks like a fantastic car and it’s a shame I won’t get to see it in action. However, Brad Bear will be alongside Andy on the day and we hope that his new mascot will bring him plenty of luck.”
