A MAN will go on trial for the murder of a 51-year-old Bradford-raised mother after pleading not guilty, a court heard today.
Adrian Rodi, 49, admitted to the manslaughter of Angela Rider, who was brought up in Baildon before moving to Allerton, who was found dead at her home in the early hours of March 5, this year.
However, Leeds Crown Court heard that prosecution would be pursuing a murder charge - to which Rodi pleaded not guilty.
The body of Angela Rider, from Cawood, North Yorkshire, was discovered at her address.
The court heard a psychologist was preparing a report in regards to Rodi’s mental health.
Judge Marson QC said: “You will be remanded in custody until your trial date. I am happy to schedule the trial for four days if psychiatric reports can be ready before the trial date of September 24”
Rodi was remanded in custody.
