A TEENAGER from Bradford has been arrested over a stabbing that took place in Leeds city centre at the weekend.

The man, aged 19, was arrested on Sunday night following the stabbing, which occurred in Lower Briggate in Leeds city centre in the early hours of Saturday, and remains in custody.

Two other 19-year-olds have also been arrested, and have since been released under investigation.

Police were called at 4.45am on Saturday to reports of a man having been stabbed close the the Stone Roses bar in Leeds.

A 20-year-old man was found at the scene with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition, and police cordoned off the busy area of the centre of Leeds for forensic examination over the weekend.

Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
