POLICE are investigating after a man was assaulted and sustained serious injuries in Bradford city centre this morning.

The incident happened at around 6:30am.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said: "There was an altercation between three males at the junction of Nelson Street and Hall Ings and a male in his 30s was left with serious injuries.

"He was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."

No further information of the injured man has been released.

A police cordon was placed around the area the incident took place but was removed at around 12 noon today.
