A MAN has been handed a two-year sentence in a young offender's institute for drugs offences.
Qasib Hussain, 20, of Sherwood Place, Bradford (pictured) appeared before Bradford Crown Court to be sentenced for his part in a drug deal on Festival Avenue, Shipley, last March.
Hussain and another man, due to be sentenced later, were caught by plain clothes police officers. Fifteen wraps of crack cocaine and 15 wraps of heroin were found on the other man and Hussain had a mobile phone which was said to indicate a planned transaction. Earlier this year, he was also arrested in Hull for supplying cannabis and possession with intent to supply cannabis. He pleaded guilty to all offences.
The court heard the circumstances came about as a result of drug use, which he has since moved away from, and naivety.
