A 22-YEAR-old man has appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving and intimidating a witness in connection with the case.
Muhammad Awaisi appeared at Bradford Crown Court today in connection with a car crash which took place in the city in January where a man died.
An Audi Q7 collided with a wall in Bowling Back Lane at the junction with Birklands Street, and one of the occupants, a man believed to be in his 20s and not to be local, died at the scene.
The incident, which took place on January 21 at around 1.30pm, saw the grey Audi flipped onto its side.
At the time police appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Awaisi of Winchcombe Drive, Worcester, is also charged with driving dangerously while uninsured, fraud and sending a communication of an offensive nature.
He will next appear in court in connection with the case on September 19 for a hearing ahead of a expected trial scheduled for February 25 next year.
The trial is scheduled to last up to five days.
