PLANS to turn an old care home in Bolton Road into bedsits have been withdrawn by the applicant.

The building, on the corner of Lister Lane and Bolton Road, dates back to 1864, and was last used as The Mount Nursing Home.

Leeds-based Priestley Homes submitted the plans to extend the building to create 32 bedsits, 12 one-bedroom flats, and ten two-bedroom flats, but this planning application has now been withdrawn.
