POLICE have seized a scooter from a rider who had a pillion passenger while on a provisional licence.
The scooter was seized in Shipley yesterday and police said the rider "thought it would be a good idea to give his friend a lift."
But, it is illegal for someone riding a scooter on a provisional licence to carry a pillion passenger.
A pillion passenger is the term used for someone sat in the seat behind the main seat on a horse, motorcyle, bike or moped.
The rider has also been reported for the offence.
