ITALIAN artist Gianni Morganti is hosting an art exhibition this weekend in Bradford, with a large number of original hand-painted artworks available to view and to buy.

Mr Morganti is holding the exhibition at Leicester Street Community Club in Leicester Street, East Bowling, today from 10am to 4pm, and tomorrow and Sunday from 10am to 7pm.

More than 30 painting will be on sale, ranging from portraits to landscapes and include more classical and abstract paintings, are being sold to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

There will also be a bespoke furniture sale featuring pieces by Angela Reid, featuring a range of handmade items.

Mr Morganti, 67, was born in Italy, before moving to France at the age of three.

It was there he developed a passion for art, and moved to the UK in 1975, where he married and had children, and has lived with his partner in East Bierley for the last 20 year.

He studied at Calderdale Art College for four years, and has held a number of exhibitions in Yorkshire, but this is his first in Bradford.
