A TEAM of walkers have covered more than 1,000 miles in less than three weeks
The Big Walk, an idea from the Eden Project made possible by the National Lottery, is an annual journey across the UK designed to shine a light on the people at the heart of communities, who work together to make great things happen.
This event saw four teams walking over 13 miles a day to discover, celebrate and connect with over a hundred community projects, including The Bikery, in Shipley, which the walkers visited in May.
The shop refurbishes bikes for sale at affordable prices, provides training courses in bike maintenance, offers volunteering and a workshop for repairs.
They also visited projects like the Glasgow Panthers wheelchair rugby club and The Friendly Bench, a place for the elderly to meet, in Leicester.
