A MAN and a woman were arrested by police this afternoon when the car they were travelling in was stopped by armed officers.

Traffic was halted on Wrose Road at 3pm and a video posted on social media shows officers boxing-in a Vauxhall car before two people are seen getting out of the passenger side door.

West Yorkshire Police said the arrests were made as part of an "ongoing investigation" and both the man and woman were taken into custody for questioning.
