Traffic was delayed on the M606 this morning
TRAFFIC on the M606 northbound was delayed this morning after a motorist crashed into a safety barrier.
Traffic had to be stopped between Junction 1 at Chain Bar and Junction 2 for the Euroway Industrial Estate after a single car crashed into a safety barrier at around 9.30am.
Traffic officers were required to sweep the carriageway clear of debris prior to the motorway reopening.
All traffic was released by officers shortly after 10am, and Highways England said "thankfully" no-one was injured in the crash.
