A MAN was left hospitalised and police are on the hunt for two men after a robbery at an off-licence shop on the outskirts of Bradford city centre.

Officers were called to the Kubus convenience store in Little Horton Lane at 5.54pm on Friday to reports of robbery at the shop.

On arrival, a man in his 40s was found with a knee injury, and taken to hospital for further treatment.

The suspects are described as two men of slim build, believed to be in their 20s.

It is believed they ran off towards Melbourne Place following the incident, which is believed to have happened in broad daylight between 5.15pm and 5.25pm.

One witness, who asked not to be named, said the two robbers were wearing balaclavas and were armed with hammers, and they stole a "substantial amount of cash".
