COUNCILLORS have given the go ahead for houses to be built on the grounds of a 16th Century Hall.

Bradford Council’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee yesterday approved the scheme to create 10 homes at Grade II listed Ryshworth Hall, off Keighley Road in Crossflatts.

The plans, by UK Asset Resolution will see six new houses built, the conversion of a building on the grounds to create three new dwellings, and the conversion of another to form a single dwelling.

In recent years buildings on the site have been used for a climbing centre and a garage.

The committee were told original plans for the site, that included an extra four homes, had been scaled down. Members unanimously approved the plans.
