Danny East, right, in action for former club Guiseley, faces a long spell on the sidelines
BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have confirmed that summer signing Danny East suffered a ruptured Achilles in training last Tuesday.
He is now recovering following successful surgery to reattach the tendon and is aiming to return for the second half of the National League North campaign.
East, who joined Avenue from Guiseley, has been plagued by injuries during his career, which has seen him play for Portsmouth, Northampton and Hull City among others.
On a more positive note, the full back has joined the Horsfall College of Sport as a coach, where he will look to pass on his vast experience and knowledge to the Academy scholars.
