A CLECKHEATON human resources, employment law and health and safety firm has triumphed at a national awards ceremony recognising the contribution family-run businesses make to the UK economy.

Howarths People and Safety Management won the Family Business of the Year award at the 2018 National Family Business Awards at Wembley Stadium.

The firm also scooped the Big Heart award, recognising its work through its independent charity, The Howarth Foundation, which the family set up in 2017 to assist homeless and recently rehomed individuals back into employment.

Managing director Gavin Howarth said: “Over the last 15 years, we’ve grown Howarths based on our family values of trust, respect, honesty and integrity, which our clients understand and respect.

"To win this national award at Wembley in our anniversary year is a fantastic way to round-off the celebrations and honour the hard work and dedication from every single person involved in the business.”
