PLANS to build 14 flats, which have attracted dramatic objections, will be decided by Councillors this week.

Eleven people objected to the proposals for supported living units on land at 100 Hollingwood Lane, Great Horton.

The plans have been submitted by C Musson, and will be discussed by Bradford Council’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee on Thursday.

Objections include claims that the flats would “attract a different type of resident”, and one anonymous objector wrote to the council saying: “We don’t get our money’s worth in Council services so you really should listen to the hand that feeds.”

Another objector said: “In winter with snow, or more importantly ice, it is hard to get out of here as it is. It will be a catastrophe, it is a quiet cull de sac. With all that will happen, God help us.”

The plans have been recommended for approval. The committee meets on Thursday.
