A NEW online wedding business based in Bradford is aiming to get homeless people and those struggling to find work back into employment.

Mine2Love, an online wedding planning website, has been dubbed “the Google for weddings” by its founder, and provides information about local businesses providing all aspects of a wedding, from cakes to dresses and flowers to DJs, on the website.

Owner Waseem Matloob, who runs the business from his offices in Eldon Place, Manningham, is using it as a platform to help rough sleepers and people who need to develop their skills and gain more experience to be able to integrate back into the world of work.

Mr Matloob founded his firm less than a week ago, and has already had some people coming in to learn the ropes.

He said he is operating an “open door policy” for people to work flexible shifts, learning new skills and roles.

He said: “The idea is to get people off the streets and into employment.

“Anyone looking to get into work I am more than happy to take them on so they can get moving forward with their lives.

“I see people begging and I feel for them, they have been on a downward spiral and I want to help them get out of it.

“You see people sitting round, and they are bored and need something to do, this gives them something positive and hopefully a few months down the line they can get into work.”

One of the first people to benefit from Mr Matloob’s idea is 29-year-old Dee Kingman, who has been out of work since Christmas.

She said: “It’s a really good idea, I’m definitely interested in doing this and promoting it, I know a lot of people who would jump at a chance like this.

“Sitting at home doing nothing, you just get bored so this gets your mind working. I really think this could work and we need to spread the word.”
