A BRADFORD kitchen appliance supplier has moved into a new warehouse and created new jobs thanks to a £3 million loan.

EPE International, which distributes domestic appliances, has bought a 50,000 sq ft unit at the Euroway Trading Estate off the M606 after outgrowing its previous distribution centre.

The new building will allow the firm to increase its distribution capacity. As well as moving into the new warehouse, the firm is also looking to take on an additional 20 staff across different business functions.

It is also reviewing opportunities for strategic acquisitions to help increase the company’s market share.

Since its founding in 2003 with just two staff, EPE International has grown into a multi-million pound company with a turnover of more than £20 million and 60 members of staff.

Close relationships with brands such as Kenwood, Tefal and Russell Hobbs and sharing knowledge and insight with its customers have helped the business to grow over the past 15 years.

It supplies to small retailers, supplying 1,500 different products, including coffee machines, toasters and cookware.

EPE International was also recently listed on the 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2018 list by the London Stock Exchange Group for its quick growth and customer service.

Harry Singh, operations and finance director, said: “Having the new warehouse unit offers us the capacity to expand our market share.

“It follows steady expansion of our presence at Euroway Trading Estate, and now we have three distribution centres at the scheme.”

The loan came from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking. “Lloyds Bank has been an excellent partner throughout the business’s growth, and we look forward to working with the team as we continue to develop the company,” said Mr Singh.

Samantha Ackroyd, area director at Lloyds Bank, added: “EPE International has managed to rapidly grow its market share over the last decade through its dedication to supporting customers and its in-house expertise of the sector.”
