WIBSEY residents have hit out at Bradford Council after their bin collection was missed.

Kevin Taylor, 54, lives on Reevy Road and says the bins (pictured) which should have been collected on Friday, June 22, are now starting smell and attracting vermin.

He said: "It's just the fact we pay council tax - they should be doing their job right."

Mr Taylor said a number of people had contacted the Council about the issue.

In response to the concerns, a spokesman from Bradford Council said: “The bin crew could not empty the bins on Friday because of gas works taking place in the area. "The crew returned on Saturday morning to complete the round but residents had taken their bins back inside their property."

He said the bins were due to be collected tomorrow morning and the Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
