BRADFORD Council will host a conference on developing its workforce’s skills later this week.

The Key Cities conference will see representatives from 20 UK cities come together to think up innovative and creative ways of transforming the local economy and deliver inclusive growth.

It will take place at the Cedar Court Hotel in West Bowling on Thursday, and feature key note speeches on youth unemployment and the skills gap, and recruitment challenges.

Councillor Imran Khan, executive member for education, employment and skills, pictured, said: “Bradford is a dynamic, young and enterprising city which is very much on the up.

“The conference is great way we can bring a group of forward-thinking experts together to help us look at practical ways we can promote inclusive growth for Bradford and share that expertise with our Key City partners.”
