A MAN caught dumping rubbish on a street in West Bowling has been fined £180.

Pawel Wysocki, 33, of Seaton Street, Barkerend, Bradford, pleaded guilty to disposing of controlled waste on the highway without a licence.

Wysocki was caught on CCTV cameras as he dumped waste from a car in an area identified by Bradford Council as a fly-tipping hotspot.

As well as the fine, he was ordered to pay £120 with £30 victim surcharge by Bradford magistrates following the Bradford Council prosecution.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: “We want fly-tippers to know that we won’t stand by and let them get away with dumping rubbish in our community.

"We will work hard to put them before the courts where they will face the consequences of their criminal actions.

"If you see fly-tipping taking place, please note down as many details as possible, including vehicle licence plate numbers and inform the Council.”
