TWO men are due in court today after being charged in relation to a machete attack in Shipley at the weekend.
A man had to be taken to hospital with cuts to his head and serious hand injuries following the attack, which happened during a fight in Leeds Road, near the junction with West Royd Avenue in Windhill, at around 12.40pm on Saturday, June 23.
Officers armed with Tasers attended the scene and arrested two men, and recovered a machete-type weapon from the area.
Two men, aged 24 and 25, are due to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court today over the incident, both charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and affray.
The injured man was taken to hospital following the incident, and his injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.
