A gardener who scooped £3 million on a scratchcard said he will go to the World Cup if England make it to the final stages.

James Evans, 30, from Romney Marsh, stopped to buy the scratchcard thanks to a convenient parking space, and is looking forward to moving to a farmhouse in Cornwall with his partner JoJo Smith, 28, and buying a new digger.

But before the dream relocation, Mr Evans will have some extra spending money if he jets out to Russia to see the Three Lions vie for World Cup glory.

Thinking about future travel plans and sharing the win with family, he said: "I'm going to buy mum a bungalow on the banks of the Tamar River and look at hiring a villa in Ibiza so we can treat friends and family to one hell of a holiday in the sun.
