A CONTROL worker at West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service's Birkenshaw headquarters has received a prestigious award.
Sarah Goodall won the Supporter of the Year- Control award at The Fire Fighters Charity's Spirit of Fire awards in London (pictured).
It was in recognition of her long-term support of the charity, both in fundraising and raising awareness of its work. It was held in Westminster, London, and she then joined other nominees and winners for a reception at 10 Downing Street.
Dr Jill Tolfrey, Chief Executive of The Fire Fighters Charity, said: “ Sarah is a worthy winner. As a volunteer service coordinator, a company member and a home visitor for the charity she works tirelessly to organise an array of fundraising events each year, including summer galas and annual fireworks displays. She also works hard to raise awareness of the charity."
