FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours tackling a major blaze that broke out at a door company in Bradford last night.

Crews from Bradford and Odsal stations were called to the scene on Factory Lane, off Rooley Lane, just after 10.30pm.

On arrival, they were faced with a large fire at the rear of the commercial premises.

A spokesman for the Bradford crew said a number of stored doors were on fire, with the blaze spreading to the roof of a neighbouring business.

He said that the door manufacturing firm had suffered fire and water damage, but added that "the business should be open as usual today."

The cause of the fire is said to be under investigation.
