A NURSERY in Queensbury has retained its ‘Good’ rating following a recent Ofsted inspection.
Shibden Head Day Nursery, pictured, was rated Good after the inspection earlier this month. It means the nursery has retained the rating it received at its last inspection in 2013.
Ofsted noted children benefit from good communication methods, and the nursery has “interesting and stimulating” indoor and outdoor environments.
It also said children have “warm and secure bonds” with staff and are “happy, settled and well behaved”. It also praised the staff as “good role models”.
To gain an Outstanding rating, Ofsted recommended improvements to the professional development of staff to help children achieve their potential, and better analysis of the attainment of the different children’s groups is needed.
